Hotel Monahanski, a Hayes 301 Special

When my college roommates ventured out to Charleston in April, I invited them to put together a blog post recounting their experiences. Even though that was now a couple months ago, the memories are still fresh – and even fresher with today’s post.

Here is the story, brought to you by Krittika, Anna, and Megan:

A long time needed blog post is finally here!

After a long grueling winter, those of us up north decided it was high time to head south for some fun in the sun. Turns out, as luck would have it, we had just the place – we like to call it Hotel Monahanski. Continue reading

Updates needed!

Man,
We’ve been doing the worst thing for a personal blog… not updating it.

Basically, the past few weeks have been pretty crazy and Claire and I have been very busy.

Here are a few reasons for it:

  • Claire has a new job! – I know it’s no secret around here that Claire is the driving force of this little thing and now that she’s blogging all day at work…
  • Jamey is lazy. – I know it’s no secret around here that Claire is the driving force for this little thing, and if she’s busy or distracted, I will also be distracted and
  • Claire and Jamey had their first wedding party event. – This was quite an event!

Here’s Claire shooting her first gun:

As you can see, she did not enjoy it. I had to finish her round for her. She also shot a pistol this day, but we don’t have a picture of that one.

  • Claire and Jamey had their Pre-Cana(Catholic marriage preparation\training) classes. – We just got back from a little jaunt up to Chattanooga to participate in the “Picture of Love” engaged couples’ retreat. It was great. Mostly, we had a great time visiting the Chattanooga branch of the Monahan family.
These are just a few of the activities that have yet to be blogged about.
Claire and I are going to go wander around the grocery store to find dinner and then we might just give you some glimpses into our lives together.
Stay tuned!

BUNNIES

Guys. The pictures and the videos from this article are officially the highlight of my Friday.

Bunnies. Hopping. Over hurdles.

Why would I want a puppy when I can have a hurdle-hopping hare? Beats me, because this is outstanding.

You have to read the whole article. The video at the end basically sums up how every life challenged should be faced, overcome and hopped.

Jamey got in last night, and today I’m making him an Italian dinner from our Italian Cooking Encyclopedia. I was going to poll you all on what I should cook, but then I realized I wouldn’t have enough time to go to the store and make the dish if I waited for the end-of-day results. Plus, I think Jamey will probably just stuff the ballot box and send it out to everyone so he can have exactly what he wants for dinner – regardless of the public choice! Democracy, my foot (at least in this household).

If it’s a success, you know we’ll take pictures and share with you the glory of our Italian food. If not, well, let’s hope other meals turn out decent this weekend.

Happy Friday, folks!

Love,

Claire
